Voice Over Internet Protocol

Voice Over IP (VoIP) phone systems have more features, and are more cost effective long-term.  Many businesses today still have old Plain Old Telephone Systems (POTS), which run over analog phone lines.  Each of these lines have an estimated cost of $40/line, with taxes and fees.  After additional long distance charges and an 800 number, a business with 10 lines will easily spend over $1000/month for their phone service.

On-Premise vs. Hosted

On-Premise PBX - Using a PRI Circuit, the on-premise PBX will dial over a dedicated line.  The PRI will include minutes-per-month, similar to a mobile phone package.  Long distance rates are a fraction of the cost of analog POTS lines.  The on-premise system can support multiple extensions, hunt groups, auto attendants, on-hold music, find me/follow me, voicemail-to-email, and high definition audio.  On-premise systems typically can pay for themselves over time, due to the fact that the monthly cost of the PRI is significantly less than the POTS system, depending on how many lines are in place.

Hosted PBX (Cloud) - Our cloud based solution includes only high definition phones.  With this solution, you only need a high speed Internet connection.  The VoIP phones are preconfigured to connect to the hosted PBX when they are plugged into the Internet.  The hosted system can also support multiple extensions, hunt groups, auto attendants, on-hold music, find me/follow me, voicemail-to-email, and high definition audio.  Hosted solutions are perfect for businesses that are smaller and do not want the upfront capital costs of the on-premise system.
